Selection Criteria

There shall be recognition of athletes, coaches and supporting persons who have demonstrated throughout their careers in sports those qualities which clearly identify them as champions in their field. This includes being an example for the youth in our program.

This recognition shall be permanent and shall be located in a place open to public inspection.
Each inductee shall have a long tenure of participation in the field of service.
To be eligible for induction into the Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame, the individual must:

(1) Be a native of the Wiregrass area; or
(2) Have attended four years of school in the Wiregrass area, three of which were senior high school; or
(3) Meet one of the above requirements and have been a coach or rendered services for a minimum of
15 years.
